Drone roof inspections in Edinburgh and across Scotland

See the parts of your roof that are difficult to assess from ground level. We capture high-definition aerial photographs of agreed roof areas, helping homeowners, factors and commercial property teams understand visible condition and plan the next step.

A closer view from above

Show your roofer exactly where to look.

A slipped tile, a blocked valley or a damaged chimney detail can be difficult to explain without a clear photograph. A drone inspection gives the discussion a visual starting point.

We capture context views of the building and closer images of the agreed areas where the flight position allows. Our H30T and Matrice 4T camera options let us combine wider coverage with more detailed visual inspection.

Send any known leak location or previous photographs before the visit so we can plan the brief around the concern.

What you get

A usable record of visible roof condition.

The quotation sets out the roof areas to cover and the images and reporting included.

01 / OVERVIEW

Understand the roof layout

Aerial views showing the agreed elevations and visible roof features, so you can place closer photographs in context.

02 / DETAIL

Inspect the areas of concern

Closer photographs of selected coverings, ridges, valleys, gutters, chimneys and junctions where these are visible and safely accessible to the camera.

03 / LOCATION

Share clear visual evidence

Selected images that help you identify an area for follow-up. Annotated photographs or a roof-location plan can be included in the agreed scope.

04 / HANDOVER

Plan the next investigation

The agreed image set and an explanation of the observed condition. Written photographic reports and video are specified in the quote.

What we can look for

Roof features that deserve a closer check.

  • Missing, displaced or visibly damaged tiles, slates and ridge components.
  • Debris, vegetation and visible obstructions in gutters or roof valleys.
  • Visible deterioration around chimneys, flashings, parapets and roof junctions.
  • Condition around rooflights, vents and other visible penetrations.
  • Changes since an earlier inspection, where comparable images are available.

Useful additions

Need more than photographs?

Thermal imaging can add information about surface-temperature patterns where the construction and conditions make it useful. It does not prove the cause of a leak.

A photogrammetry model can help a project team explore a complex roof. Measurement tolerances and validation must be agreed if the data will support design.

If the building has solar panels, a combined thermal and visual solar inspection can be scoped alongside the roof work.

How the visit works

A straightforward route from concern to imagery.

  1. Share the address and concern. Tell us about the property, affected areas, access and the person who will use the photographs.
  2. Agree the coverage. We assess the site and flight conditions, then confirm the outputs and timing in your quotation.
  3. Capture the visible condition. We record the agreed roof areas and selected details, subject to safe access and the available viewing angles.
  4. Use the findings. Share the agreed evidence with your roofer, property manager or surveyor to plan a closer inspection or repairs.

Your questions answered

Will someone need to walk on my roof?

The aerial capture can often be carried out without a person accessing the roof. We still need a suitable launch area and permission for the operation. Any later hands-on inspection or repair is a separate activity.

Does this replace a structural or building survey?

No. It records observable external condition. Concealed materials, roof structure and the cause of water ingress may require a specialist survey or intrusive investigation.

Can you guarantee every defect will be found?

No. Resolution, viewing angle, obstructions and weather affect what can be seen. We agree the coverage and explain any areas that could not be inspected.
